On June 1, 2025,  erfi proudly celebrated its  70th anniversary. 
Since its foundation in June 1955 by the visionary Ernst Fischer, the company has continuously established itself as the market leader in the manufacture of electronics laboratory benches and equipment. Today, erfi can look back on an unparalleled success story - characterized by innovation, quality and a unique vertical range of manufacture.

What once began as a small company has developed into a leading supplier in the industry over seven decades.
erfi was the first company to implement the idea of electronics laboratory benches and establish this market. All electronics laboratory equipment as well as all measuring and testing devices are produced in-house. This complete in-house production makes it possible to guarantee the highest precision and quality.

erfi's path has always been accompanied by a pioneering spirit.
As the inventor of the first electronic laboratory benches that meet the highest functional and ergonomic requirements, we have set standards in this product category.
Our solutions not only impress with their outstanding quality, but also with their unique functions. We are the only company in the world to have succeeded in equipping electronic laboratory tables with 3D gesture control and a self-developed, internet-independent voice control system. Two patents have now been granted for this just in time for our birthday.

Today, the family business erfi has been successfully managed by Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Fischer in the second generation for 30 years.

1955 it all started with workbenches

1968 the market for electronic laboratory benches was already founded by erfi.

In 1987, erfi introduced the highlab furniture series, the first aluminum laboratory table with free-floating device cockpits an a triangular column. 

This invention revolutionized the market for electronic laboratory tables once again.

Today erfi is the market leader in the field of workstation systems, test systems and measuring and testing devices.
